One of my favorite versus in the bible is Phil. 3:13-14
"Forgetting what is behind & straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
I keep this verse on a sticky note at work to remind me that even when I feel like giving up or doing a 50% job at work, I need to press on and forget about the past and work toward the future.
I really think this can apply to a lot of you guys too, with school and what not. Even if you mess up, you have a whole new day ahead of you.. a new week.. etc. Just PRESS on and go for what God has in front of you, let him direct you, and never forget the ETERNAL plan.. that we're not supposed to fit in with this world and we're only here temporarily… and all that really matters is our love and obedience to the Father.
That's awesome Kristen! You said it all! One of my fav. scriptures is Romans 12:2. (paraphrasing) "No longer be conformed to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind". It's a scripture of accountability; to realize trying to live for this world is meaningless because this life won't last. To train your mind to live for Christ 100%; it's a growing process.:)
