So we are about to Push forward our clocks on Sunday and get 1 more hour of Sunlight each night.
I am hoping to get some students involved in some Ultimate Frisbee. Josh Burdick and I are interested and getting some students out. We need atleast 10 guys or girls to come play. It is a fast paced game of frisbee throwing and running, no contact so you dont have to be big or strong to play at be good at the game. If you are interested in playing let me know on the message board. This is a good way for us to all hangout get outside, run around and get our blood pumping. Maybe even some saturday we can go back and have a BBQ at my place since it is only about a 3 minute drive from Nisqually... Let me know if you are interested.
I'm liking the fact that you are brainstorming ideas on getting the youth more involved with eachother outside of youth group and giving opportunities to have some rockin' fellowship. I'm up for almost anything. Ultimate Frisbee would probably have me on the ground holding my side
You were really good at Ultimate... Although i suck at running around (I tire quickly), the game is all about strategy and your ability to throw the frisbee, and i think you have gotten pretty good at the throwing the disk part
We need to plan a game or just mess around in the next couple of weeks.. You should help me make a list of students or whomever to get together and play... What do you say?
Sure, I'll help you, but I prolly won't be able to go to youth group or cadres until next week cuz I got in some BIG trouble last weds. plus I need a ride to cadres....there and back. thats usually why I don't come alot, but at least u know why. well I'll talk to u later, bye.

The best way for you to try hard is to not get in trouble........ I know, atleast i think i know what you did to get introuble...that doesn't need to be talked about on here... but you need to watch it....

Yea that would be a good place to play.......but if we could play at Nisqually that would be ok too, I guess, as long as we play in the soccer field, not the football field. Ummm... I've kinda been behaving myself, its really really hard sometimes though, but I should be able to make it youth group. ttyl, bye.
anyone would have a tough time in my house, my parents don't let me do nothing, and it really really makes me mad, so thats why I get in trouble alot. but i'll try to "behave myself" ok? ttyl, bye.
I don't know every intricate detail of your home life Julian but i know enough to say that it can be a neverending circle. You disagree that your parents don't allow you to do anything so you get mad at them and lash out, and then as a consequence of that you get in trouble and they don't allow you to do anything, and again you lash out.. etc etc...
You need to be the one to stop the circle of events.
There were seasons in my life when i REALLY wanted to participate in things and i wouldn't be able to because my parents didn't allow me. If you were to impress your parents they might reconsider. I am not saying they are going to let you do anything and everything.. but you will see the difference. Let the change start with you, don't point the finger and say the reason i get in trouble is because my parents are to strict. You should obey your parents and if they are strict that is to bad, but do the best with the cards that have been dealt to you in this life. You will realize a change in them if you just begin to make that change in you.
First Question to ask yourself:
1. Am i going to God with my frustrations? (Prayer)
2. Am i seeking Gods direction when i am frustrated? (Reading the Word)
And I can go on, but Julian you and i both know that you have the potential to be an amazing man of God, You have been and i want you to continue to grow in him. You will overcome, but not in your own strength, only with God's.
Thanks for the tips, I'll try to remember them. but I just wanted to comment on one thing u said. umm....u said that I disagree, then lash out, then do it again, however....... its more like this...I try to explain then they don't wanna hear it, so then they find the smallest thing I may have done wrong, like interupt or something small like that, then their like "oh u were very disrespectful,and you can't go to youth group", its like their manipulating me. but still thanks for all that stuff u told me, hopefully it will be helpful.
I know this is an older post, but I was wondering...
Have you guys ever thought about making a day with FAL and playing a big Ultimate Frisbee game. :) I love the game and think this would be loads of fun. Just curious... Blessings!
